πŸ‚ A quirky, dark look book for autumn (β˜€οΈπŸŒ™πŸŒΈ)

One of my favourite pinterest boards I ever put together was for flower, moon sun. Even though these aren't my roots, its one of my favourite combinations so I have collated some inspo from AW24

πŸ‘Ÿ Lookbook:

Flower x moon x sun look book

It is spooky season! I am so obsessed with this particular style roots board at the moment - in another life this would honestly be me. It has a mix of schoolgirl, gothic and pin-up vibes with playful, colourful elements - it is so fun, and just so different. What is really fun about this set of style roots is that it taps into a particular aesthetic which lots of niche brands exist for, and here are some pieces I love from those brands which I think a flower x moon x sun girl would be obsessed with

lazy oaf cardigan

This cardigan is fluffy, quirky and cute. Paired with a black dress and some docs this could be an absolute staple for this set of style roots! There is something childlike about it and on the face of it doesn’t have to be gothic, but the kind of psychedelic feel is perfect

killstar dress

On occasion, some of these websites can lean a little costume-y so try to take the look out of the context and imagine with more simple, everyday styling and they are actually amazing staple pieces. This dress has the quirky element of the mushrooms, with the sweet babydoll neckline and dark, slightly gothic feel

Vixen by Michelle Pitt skirt

Something with black and white stripes is an absolute essential for this style root combination. It is a little gamine-ish - very playful and quirky, leaning strange which is perfect for the dark side of this style root. Strangeness and weirdness is completely the vibe - with a sweet twist. This collection is part of a Beetlejuice collaboration, which shows that spooky feel

unif dress

In another life I would so be this girl. I love this dress. Unif might be my favourite brand of all the ones I have mentioned today, the clothes feel relevant whilst seamlessly tapping into this aesthetic in a non-costume way. I could actually see Maisie Peters in this!

unif dress

This dress I feel is a classic in the 90s witch whimsigoth space - it’s really casual, and an easy basic to make any simple top interesting. The buttons give it a schoolgirl vibe, as does the simple matte fabric but the fact that its designed to be layered gives it an easy quirky feel

disturbia skirt

This skirt SCREAMS halloween! I love the pop of orange, it feels really autumnal, grounded but playful. You could pair this with a simple black top and loafers with little white socks and look completely cute

I am obsessed with Krysten Ritter! Her style (especially in the early 2010s) is cute, girly, dark and a little gothic
