We got married ❤️ + what's next for body and style
I got married! Here are some initial sneak peek pics and a run down of what's coming next
We got married. This week I had the exciting, terrifying, heartwarming experience of being a bride and - I know it sounds cliche - but it was all of my dreams come true. When we get the official photos through, I will do a full debrief of the wedding - my dress, the flowers, the bridesmaids, the groom, the day itself - but for now I am going to share a few snaps from our guests, and then I’m going to share some of my thoughts on what’s next for me and body & style 👀

I am off to Italy for a couple of weeks now so I am having a little break - but don’t unsubscribe just yet because there is lots of exciting stuff on the way! Here is a breakdown of some of my goals for the next quarter
1. members-only videos
After polling some of my audience on YouTube I realised that most of my followers simply want more videos rather than more newsletters which was really eye opening. I aim to make similar videos to my usual style, but with more niche, specific topics for my paid members on here and on YouTube e.g. perhaps delving into the outfits of a less famous character, or doing a deep dive into a more complicated element of a style theory which the wider world wouldn’t really care about - but real style scholars do!
2. a more technical newsletter
I really enjoy a newsletter like this on a Friday where I share my most recent thoughts - but I am aware that every week that can get a little dull. I want this newsletter to beg a place where I do deep dives into each type from the different systems, eg one week I might delve into the ‘narrow short straight’ body type, the next I might look into the concept of ‘yin vs yang’ and so on.
3. costume expert
I have discovered since moving away from my one on one services how much I enjoy analysing the role of costume in tv and film. It reminds me of the analysis I used to do as part of my literature degree and really lights me up - and you guys seem to enjoy them too! I want to learn as much as I can about costume - I am reading style history books behind the scenes, learning from documentaries, watching old Hollywood classics - I want to become really good at what I do, and that means curating as much as creating
4. digital product revamp
I have a list as long as my arm of updates I want to make to my handbooks (whenever I do updates I do send them out to people who have already bought so don’t panic if you were thinking about buying soon). I am so excited to review in-depth all the feedback for these handbooks which have been available for half a year now and make them even better. I want to add more outfit examples, more models for different types, better explanation where needed - ah its going to be great
5. start thinking about a stylist course
I really want my body matrix and style roots systems to be accessible by other stylists for use in their work, and so I am finally going to start thinking about a course! This is probably the project which is the furthest away from becoming a reality, but I definitely want to start planning and researching

Should you care about beauty types when choosing your wedding dress?
This comment left a sour taste in my mouth, but I couldn’t really pinpoint why. Of course, what I do for a living is critique outfits and how they best fit the wearer - it would be hypocritical of me to then be annoyed when people do it back to me! And typically, I’m not bothered when people debate my hair colour, clothing or makeup choices because I co…
